How to take your own measurements

Use a cloth tape measure and stand naturally with your feet no more than shoulder width apart. The tape measure should never feel too tight or loose when it is around your body.

BUST: The bust measurement is taken at the fullest part of the bust. This is different from your bra size. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and measure around the fullest part of the back and bust.

WAIST: The waist measurement is taken at the natural waistline. This is not same as the waist measurement on jeans. Place the tape measure around the smallest part of the waist. Do not breathe in!

HIPS: The hip measurement is taken approximately 8" lower than the waistline. Place the tape around the fullest part of the hip and bottom area.

HEIGHT: Most dresses are cut to fit bridesmaids up to 5'9". If you are taller or planning to wear heeled shoes, consider ordering extra length to ensure the dress is the correct length.

Now you're ready to compare your measurements against the dress designer's size chart. Each size chart can be found on the corresponding bridesmaid page. Be sure to check you are using the correct size chart as designers' size dresses differently.

Compare your measurements and select the size you feel best fits your proportions. Usually you will find that your measurements fall between sizes. We recommend that you select the bigger size - it's a lot easer to make a dress smaller than to make it bigger! The final size choice is always yours. Once you have selected a size you can fill out the order form and submit your order.
